Cedars ski resort

Five slopes, from easy gradients to hard advanced runs. Lifts reach 1,100 m in length and gradients up to 61%. Beginners get an easy 10% gradient and four baby lifts.

Paragliding

The Cedars paragliding school is the oldest in Lebanon. The top take-off sits at 2,900 m, on one of the highest peaks in the Middle East, and the flight is open to complete beginners.

Qualified guides run tours through the peaks and valleys around the hotel. Bring a camera — the sceneries are the reason people book a second day.

Cycling & hiking

Mountain roads and forest trails start at the door. Rope descent and ski-doo can also be arranged through the hotel.

The Gibran Khalil Gibran Museum in Bcharré holds more than 600 paintings and the poet’s tomb. The legendary Cedars of God forest, nominated as one of the new seven wonders of nature, is minutes up the road.

Below the hotel, the Qadisha grotto and the Qadisha valley hold old monasteries and waterfalls that have been in use for a thousand years.
